It has a manganese steel blade that is hardened to HRc 61 and has a 25 mm radius hook which makes it idea for carving concave recesses in spoon and bowls. The blade is about 18 mm wide and 3 mm thick, with only one edge sharpened this version is left handed, so designed to cut when pulling with the left hand or pushing with the right hand.
