50’s Black Striped Metallic Button Front Taffeta Shirt Dress1950s Mid Century modern, fit and flare dress!. No tags, this dress was probably home sewn or custom made, as most seams are encased in seam tape and there are professionally bound buttonholes. The fabric is textured striped taffeta (possibly acetate) in colors of: black, grey silver and light lavender. There is also a metallic gold thread running along the stripes too, very striking! This crisp, almost stiff fabric has no stretch to it. The dress has
