So I decided to do a little art therapy and draw a flamingo in my style of drawing

And at the time I had just drawn a few flamingos for my day job and had flamingos on the brain

They are also known as paper nautiluses and are found in tropical and subtropical waters around the world

I find my frames a thrift stores and build to the size of the frame

16" x 20" prints come framed in a frame that is similar to the one pictured

I really had fun making this one

They have so many segments to their skin it makes them a very interesting subject

The loose nature and absence of patterns made this piece no exception

I wanted to show a high contrast of light and dark but I also wanted a contrast between organic and non-organic textures

This piece is as much about a seahorse and their many segments as it is about how reality can seem fragmented
