1993 Fender Japan PB-STD Standard Precision Bass (Lake Placid Blue)

1993 Fender Japan PB-STD Standard Precision Bass (Lake Placid Blue)Made in Japan in 1993, the PB STD model was Fender Japan's version of the American Standard series. Basswood body with a sparkling Lake Placid Blue finish, maple neck (43mm nut width) with a 20 fret rosewood fingerboard, it weighs just over 4kg's. Seems to be all original. Good well loved condition as pictured with some finish wear and chips to the body. The neck is straight and the frets are shiny with plenty of life, truss works as it should.

Looks to be a single piece ash body (we genuinely can't find a join in the grain

We've debunked the mystery a little to reveal it as a 1983 Tokai TE-50 Breezysound (based on the neck heel stamps and components including the Deluxe stamped tuners and the 5-digit serial on the neck plate) that's been heavily modified over the years

This one came to us highly modified with a custom made leather wrap on the body that's been hand crafted for this guitar and stitched around the body
